Why Is It So Hard To Smile?

I get into the bus... *push* I stand... *shove* I swear. #@$#%$ There, that's all it takes to ruin a perfect, right side of the bed morning for me. But then, one day, when I had just cursed, I saw two little girls, clad in blue uniform, managing to push themselves through the crowd, often being told off or pushed to the side. They made it to their other friends, they made it smiling.^%^$%^%6


Why is it so hard for us to smile? I have met people, who always keep smiling, that's not what I mean here. I mean, why is it so hard for us to smile at how funny a tough situation actually is.


So I decided to try smiling, when I'm down in the dumps. And my first chance came when I an Auto Guy asked me for Five Rupees more. I didn't argue, I'm not good at that, and I gave it away. Old Aroah, would have %^$$%%$, new Aroah, smiled. I smiled at how laid back I was! It felt good, it actually felt like I was mocking myself.(Fine I will learn to bargain!)

I believe, that all of us, have it in us to just smile, no matter what the situation is. It could seem to be the hardest thing to do, but then its not that hard. Then what stops us?

Frustration, we are frustrated with something or the other. Now that, bring me to another question- Don't we have enough reasons to smile?

So here is my list of things, that I believe is enough to make a cynic like me smile:

1. Kids- Chubby,cute and muffled words! Ha... :)

2. Music- Need I say more...

3. Love- Be it mom, be it friends, it's one thought that makes me smile.

4. Food- Anything Spicy and I'm smiling already.

5. Writing- Why fret, when you can fret, when you can write any rubbish and smile at it! Not divulging my hopeless lines!

6. Life- Yes, we're alive, and there are more than a million people in this world, who would give anything to be secure about that.

Smile friends, it can be hard. But smile, not randomly, but when necessary. When someone opens the door for you, when someone shows you the way, when anyone does anything, give a smile. When you're down in the dumps, smile...
